Please note: If you're not living on-campus, you must not use a previous on-campus accommodation address. We have no option other than to return items incorrectly sent to the University. We're unable to forward such items and any items for non-residents will be returned to the sender immediately via the original courier and using the same tracking ID, without exception. Please ensure that your sender(s) are provided with your up-to-date address details.

During term time, we receive a delivery from Royal Mail Monday to Saturday. Unregistered letters correctly addressed are sent to your local Residence HubLink opens in a new window. Ask the staff at your local Residence Hub what arrangements there are in your accommodation for picking up your letters. Registered/recorded delivery letters will need to be collected from your local Parcel Collection PointLink opens in a new window.

We only accept incoming mail and don't sell stamps or accept outgoing mail. Stamps and delivery are available at the nearby Post Offices in Rootes Grocery Store or Cannon Park. You could also consider using Royal Mail's Click and DropLink opens in a new window service

You should not allow your on-campus address to be used by anyone else. Any items arriving that do not match the registered addressee will be returned.

Not until you get our email - it takes us time to process items, so please wait for our notification before coming to collect.

Whilst there's nothing to stop you choosing a timed delivery, the courier you choose will still only deliver here once each day. Couriers, (particularly DPD) are in the habit of pre-scanning time-slot deliveries to make it appear the items are delivered at the designated time, even though they're delivered sometime later in the day.

We'd recommend that you save money by not choosing a timed delivery slot for this reason.

Due to storage constraints, we only keep items for a limited period of time. After the first notification, we'll send you a reminder that your item is here. A few days later you will receive a final reminder that your item is still here. Following that we reserve the right to return your item(s) to the sender if you don't collect it.

We receive too many items from couriers to look out for individual items and reject them, so please do not ask us to do so.

Unfortunately, we’re not able to help with the return of items once delivered – it would get too complex if we got involved in transactions between campus residents and item senders.

If you no longer want your item, please follow the sender’s returns procedure – it’s likely to be more trackable this way and may cost you nothing at all.

If you don’t collect your item from your Parcel Collection PointLink opens in a new window, we will eventually return it if the courier accepts returns. We keep a record of handing the item back to the courier, but after that we have no control over what happens to it, and we’re not liable if it is lost or damaged after that point, so it's in your best interests to arrange its return yourself.

To nominate a friend living on campus to pick up your parcel(s), go to ‘MyDeliveries’Link opens in a new window and click the 'Nominate' button next to the desired package(s).

Anyone who lives on campus can order, if you live off campus you need to order to that address. If we receive a delivery for someone who doesn't live on campus, we'll have to return it to sender.

Because previous accommodation occupants often, accidentally, use old on-campus addresses, we can only process items that have your name and correct address on them. Unnamed items will be returned. Ensure any 'Also Known As' name is registered with accommodation and ensure senders use your name, and not theirs.

Many companies, including Amazon and Trainline.com use an automatic address checking system, based on the postcode. The postcode for the University only shows one address - "Post Room".

Please don't use this auto-completed option instead, enter your full address line by line. If the site won't let you do this, try putting a shortened version of your address in the name field.

If a parcel arrives with only "Post Room" on it, we'll have to return it, marked "insufficient address".

Please don't have your post sent to your friend's room. We check the names on our database to send the email notifications out and if you're not registered to that address, the parcel will not be accepted from the courier.

Perishable items: We have no facilities for storing perishable items like cakes and fresh or frozen food - we'll have to reject them. There is one exception to this - flowers. For flowers, address them to: "Student Reception, Senate House, University of Warwick, CV4 7AL". Keep in mind that we can't receive deliveries of items that need to be stored at a specific temperature, such as medicine that requires cold storage, as we don't have the appropriate storage facilities.

Heavy items: You should not order anything weighing over 20Kg to arrive at the sorting office. Heavier items will not be accepted.

Please fill out the OTP formLink opens in a new window, we'll give this to the courier when they ask for it. Please ensure you use your correct address formatLink opens in a new window this will help us more easily match your OTP entry to the item being delivered.

At peak periods (start of term/Black Friday/Christmas) we can't guarantee we'll process your items on the day of delivery. If an item is urgent, one of these maybe a prefered option:

If you do use a regular service, we will not be able to accommodate any request to expedite or forward an item arriving here.

Information about your mailbox can be found hereLink opens in a new window. If you're still uncertain approach your Resident Tutor who may be able to offer further assistance. All unregistered items arriving via Royal Mail, that will fit your mailbox, are sent there.

The university doesn't offer a storage service, however you might find one of the universities preferred suppliers GilkesLink opens in a new window a possible option.

    • Students should only have a reasonable number of parcels delivered at any given time.
    • Parcels should be of a size and weight that can be safely handled by post room staff.
    • The post room reserves the right to refuse excessively large, heavy, or bulk parcel deliveries.
